Electrical Systems Engineering Services (ESES) for NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center

Orbital, as a subcontractor to Muniz Engineering, provides electrical engineering support to NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) through the Electrical Systems Engineering Services (ESES) contract. GSFC organizations served include: Code 560 Electrical Engineering Division (EED), Instrument Systems and Technology Division (ISTD), Information Systems Division (ISD), and Mission Engineering and Systems Analysis (MESA) Division.

Under the contract, Orbital provides electrical engineering services to study, design, fabricate, integrate, test, verify, and operate space flight, airborne, and ground system hardware for programs at GSFC. Orbital also offers GSFC in-house experience and expertise, through its Beltsville, MD fabrication facility to design, build, and test flight qualified electrical harnesses and printed electronics boards to NASA space mission specifications and standards.

Programs currently supported are:

• Space Test Mission 5 (ST-5)
• James Webb Space Telescope (JWST)
• Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO)
• SDO Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE).
